Birthday Tatting..

Well you guessed it, today is my birthday and I spent most of the day tatting or surfing tatting sites! I finished a small motif that was made from a pattern in an old booklet called "Tatting".The pattern is a tatted shade pull and I decided it would look good in my framed art for my bathroom, along with the amusement doily!
I used size 40 thread to cover the ring in the center. Then I used silk embroidery thread to make the rest of the motif, I purchased the silk thread from Karey Solomen if anyone wants some! See my picture below.



I am still working on picking another motif to make for my bathroom art. I am stumped right now, so I am updating my blog and getting ready to go out with my husband for dinner! We are going to a new restuarant in the area, I am excited to see how it is! It is always fun to try new places and new cuisine. Well it has been a great birthday and I am ready to start the workweek, if I have too! Ah, I think we all feel that way!
