Hector Tatting Convention...

Well I thought I should update my blog and add my photos and stuff from Hector Tatting Day 2006!!! I did have a great time at Hector, as I always do!! What fun it is to see old pals and new pals..everyone is excited and ready to chat and tat on this very fun weekend. The above picture is of Hector Falls, where I stayed for the weekend, I shared a room with Shirley P from Newark, N.Y. and we had a blast!! The Inn is cozy and close to Senca Lake. The hostess of the Inn was wonderful and she made a great morning spread for all her quests. Most of the tatters stayed in the same Inn that I did while visiting Hector, N.Y. It was a cold and brisk spring weekend in the Finger Lakes Region, while all the tatters were inside the fire hall tatting away!!
Well I got to see many tatters I had not seen in a while, Barb, Audry, Diane, Shirley P., Shirley G, Karey, Sherry, Mark, Gina, Danny, Amy, Sue, Marcia, and more names that I just can't remember at this later hour.. way pass my bedtime.. although I am up finishing this blog update! Well tommorow I can sleep till 6am and it will be nice, yeah!! We had lots of food, chocolate, coffee, and time to catch up with each other, which I always find fun. I needed the coffee to keep me awake and going, after having a long week of work, before heading to Hector on Friday.

MORE PICTURES ARE ABOVE FROM THE HECTOR WEEKEND...
One picture is of my tatting that was displayed at Hector, I had some shuttles, other antique tools, some bobbinlace(which I made a few years ago), needlelace, and more tatting I have done over the years included in the black box. Then my photo album is also displayed with my more tatting in it. I have done a good bit of tatting over the years.. and yes the last year or so I have not tatted much and that is okay. I have plenty of time to make up for it in the future. I have one more class left to finish before completing my bachelor's degree in Nursing and I am so excited!!! I do want to pursue my Master's in Nursing at some point soon.. maybe next year.

Then there is a picture of the tatted hats that were on display at Hector and were voted on by all tatters and my hat is in the photo, it is the one with red varigated size 100 thread with a covering design and then a few small motifs on the edge of the hat. Hard to pick out without actually looking at the hat, but you get the idea. It is the third from the left on the bottom row. The winning hat was done by Shirley G, and is in the top left corner, and is cut off, unfortunetly.Shirley G did a great job with her hat!! It was so darling and cute, way to got Shirley.

Well I guess that is all for now...
